The touring destinations in the past years have seen the team heading for warmer climates including Malta, Monza, Seville and Gibraltar. This year however there is a difference firstly it is the Vets 10th Anniversary tour, a milestone to mark and secondly, apart from the three tour organisers Eddie Ross, Giovanni Iacono and Andy McLellan the remaining 41 tourists have no clue of the destination they heading off to.

Turn up at Marlpool Lane at 04.00am on Thursday 2nd April they said, bring your passport along they said, we will be playing Rugby on the Saturday and returning on the Monday they said. Oh, and you will need a fancy-dress outfit. The rest is a mystery and what could possibly go wrong!!!

The 10th Anniversary tour party of 43 ingredients makes up an exciting recipe, mix 24 mature and seasoned players into a high-performance touring side, gently add in 19 enthusiastic supporters for flavour and top with a dusting of nervous and apprehensive tour virgins to add spice. The resulting dish will be remembered and talked about for many years to come.
