KC's welcome high flying Kenilworth to Marlpool Lane this Saturday knowing that a complete team performance is needed to maintain their position at the top of Midlands Two West (South)
Kenilworth started the year as league favourites after falling short of a playoff place to Malvern last year and were boosted by securing the services of former France and All Blacks coach Dave Ellis. Comfortable wins against Laurentians, Barkers Butts and recently Southam have shown their ability to attack from anywhere on the pitch with Gareth Renowden & Mikkel Andresen leading the way with 15 tries between them, however they will still be looking back at the last gasp defeat to Earlsdon in October as one that got away.
KC's themselves have been boosted over the last few weeks with a number of players returning to the first team squad which has allowed the coaching team to up the intensity in training and allow the players to work on the finer details of their play. Last weekends win over Crewe and Nantwich shows how far this team have come in such a short space of time and all the players and coaches believe there is a lot more to come.
With Earsldon (4th) facing Nuneaton Old Edwardians (3rd) at the same time, this weekends results will go a long way to shaping the promotion chasing pack for the remainder of the season so we hope to see another bumper crowd of loyal KC's supporters cheering the team on this Saturday.
